Luncheon Celebration with DJ and Dancing
Immediately Following the Ceremony
Casa Nonna
310 West 38th Street
New York, NY 10018
WE COULD’VE GONE TO CITY HALL,
BUT THAT JUST DIDN’T SEEM RIGHT
One of the many things we have in common is our love for family and friends and how central they are to our lives. So it made sense for us to arrange a special day where those we love most could gather together, witness our commitment to one another, and celebrate love.
IMPORTANT CHANGE: Rowe/Scharf Wedding Ceremony moved to Casa Nonna.
Dear Family and Friends,
The best laid plans of mice and two men trying to get married in Central Park…
As you no doubt know, the weather is looking very unsettled between now and Sunday. So that everyone enjoys the wedding itself as well as the days leading up to it, we have decided to hold the ceremony indoors at Casa Nonna.
Here’s the new plan. 11am the doors open at Casa Nonna and at 11:15am the ceremony begins.
Reception immediately following the ceremony with added bonus — no transportation required!
Please spread the word to others you know who are attending, as not everyone checks their email regularly.
Case Nonna is located at 310 W 38th St, New York, NY. Between 8th and 9th Avenues.
We can’t wait to see you there!
Much love,
Dana and Andrew
UPDATE AND NOTE REGARDING BELOW: Sadly, the cut-off date for getting the text to our artist has passed. We are, however, archiving everything we receive and will do something nice to remember your thoughts and well wishes. Much love, A and D.
We’re Counting On You!
We are asking everyone to participate in our ceremony even if you can’t be there in person. In the form below, please share some thoughts that describe us, that connect you to us, and/or express your well wishes for us.
Your contribution will be incorporated into our ceremony in a unique, artistic way that we’ll treasure for many years to come.
To quote the non-Biblical sage Madonna, “Express yourself!” Don’t edit yourself! Jump right in and go with the first thing that comes to mind. Trust your instincts. There is NO way you can mess this up.
That said, DO IT NOW (please). We need your input soon in order for the artwork to be completed in time for the wedding.
UPDATE: The web form was not dependable for reasons unknown to us. And rather than chance not getting your contribution, please send (and resend, apologies once again!) your thoughts to rowescharfwedding@gmail.com
REGISTRY INFORMATION
We are fortunate and grateful be getting married at a time in our lives where we don’t have a lot of material needs.
What brings us joy is spending time with family and friends, creating new memories, going on adventures, seeing The Broadway (and The Off-Broadway) and giving back.
Please know that we are not expecting or requesting gifts, your presence is indeed present enough. However, if you want to mark the occasion with a gift and you need a little guidance, here are a few suggestions:
- • tickets to theatre or dance (Andrew has requested “no opera”); while you’re at it, get a ticket for yourself and we’ll make an evening of it
- • brunch or dinner with you (we’re always hungry)
- • let’s take a class of some sort together: cooking, photography, etc. (there’s a lot we have to learn)
- • contributions to The Actors Fund or The LGBT Center (we love the work these folks do)
- • and, of course, we gladly accept monetary contributions to the “Andrew and Dana Honeymoon Fund” (sorry, you can’t come with us; we have to draw the line somewhere!)
What Is The RSVP Date?
September 6th. Please RSVP via your Paperless Post invitation.

If you decide to book accommodations elsewhere in the city, we suggest staying on the Upper West Side, Midtown West, Times Square or Columbus Circle. These neighborhoods are safe, pleasant and offer easy access (via taxi, Uber or subway) to the ceremony and reception locations. (Avoid hotels in Midtown East, Lower East Side or the Financial District, as traffic and subway repairs can delay your travels.)[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Where Is The Ceremony?” el_id=”1436726857056-af74c655-1233″]The Pool Lawns in Central Park are located near Central Park West and West 100th Street. By taxi or car service:
Ask the driver to take you to Central Park West and West 100th Street.

Option 2: Take the 1, 2, or 3 train to West 96th Street stop. Exit the train and walk up Broadway to West 100th Street, then turn right and walk 3 blocks to Central Park West. Approximate walking time to ceremony location is 10-15 minutes.

What Should I Wear?
Fun and festive attire requested! Please note that the ceremony will be on a grassy spot in Central Park and you will be standing throughout the ceremony. Temperatures in early fall average in the low 60s and the Pool Lawns can be sunny. Choose your footwear and attire accordingly.

How Long Is The Luncheon Celebration?
The luncheon celebration starts immediately following the ceremony and ends at 5pm.
Will There Be Dancing?
Yes!! We will be dancing the Hora (a traditional Jewish celebratory dance) and much, much more.
For the Hora challenged and for those experts who want to bring their Hora to the next level, Dana has assembled this instructional video with a little something for everyone. To quote SNLs Stefon, “This video has everything. Two-dimensional cartoons, southern gym teachers cut off at the waist, and 70s Super Fly realness.”

Are Children Invited?
We love all of our friends’ children but we have decided to limit the ceremony and reception to adults only. Our only exceptions will be our own grandnuggets, Aretta and Jeremiah.
Can I Share The Day On Social Media?
If you know us at all, then you know we’re active on social media. Please feel free to share the love and any cool pics you have from the day on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Be sure to include #rowescharf in your post to help us find it later.
Thanks in advance for sharing only tasteful, inspiring, and, of course, flattering posts.
Who Can I Contact For Additional Information?
Both Andrew and Dana are, of course, available to you if you have any questions. However, in the two weeks leading up to the wedding, please reach out to our wedding assistant, Angela (ang.trainor@gmail.com) with any additional questions you might have. We anticipate being rather fatutzed.
fatutzed (verb) : To be confused to the point of inaction.
In the daze before the wedding, Andrew and Dana were totally fatutzed and running around like Bridezillas with their heads cut off.
